New Case Study: Centrifugal Pump Optimization in TCAE
Our new case study demonstrates an automated workflow connecting CFturbo geometry generation, meshing, CFD, and optimization in TCAE. It explores combinations of blade angles, blade count, impeller width, and volute height.
The study combines 250 Latin Hypercube Sampling simulations with 250 Efficient Global Optimization evaluations: first exploring the design space, then using the accumulated knowledge to guide the search.
The best evaluated design improves predicted hydraulic efficiency from 91.08% to 94.02%—a gain of 2.94 percentage points at the studied operating point.
But the winning geometry is only part of the story. All 500 simulations contribute to a dataset that can be stored in TBASE for surrogate modelling, sensitivity analysis, and future design exploration.
A better pump today. Reusable engineering knowledge for tomorrow.
