TCAE-Lite uses the same CFD technology and solvers as standard TCAE. It is not a reduced CFD solver or a demo version.
Simulations are fully compatible in both directions between TCAE and TCAE-Lite.
TCAE-Lite condenses more than 50 man-years of CFD software development on top of open-source technology into an affordable, fully standalone engineering tool without artificial limitations on simulations, CPU cores, or hardware installations.
TCAE-Lite contains one universal simulation template called General. Simulation reports and post-processing are therefore general-purpose, while standard TCAE includes dedicated workflows and reports tailored to specific simulation types such as turbomachinery, heat transfer, aerodynamics, multiphase flow, optimization, and others.
The primary difference between TCAE-Lite and standard TCAE is therefore the workflow specialization, support level, included modules, and business model — not the underlying CFD technology itself.
