Simulation Engineering Discussion Forum is back in motion
We have updated our discussion forum https://cae-forum.online where you can connect with other professionals and experts to share knowledge, ask questions,
and collaborate on simulation engineering topics — CFD, FEA, FSI, optimization, workflows, and more.
Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just starting out, you’re welcome to:
- Introduce yourself
- Start a new thread
- Ask for technical support
- Jump into an ongoing discussion
- Share what worked (and what didn’t)
Let’s work together to advance simulation engineering — and improve our understanding of the world around us.

TCAE 26.03
Together with you, we continue developing TCAE as a professional CAE platform for
CFD, FEA, FSI, acoustics, and simulation-driven optimization.
The goal remains the same: tools for practical engineering — not just pretty demos.
In April, you can look forward to a major new release featuring:
- the latest OpenFOAM.org version
- a dramatically improved interface using NCC
- support for multiphase VOF solvers
- many additional improvements you will actually use
(We are still allergic to buzzwords.)
Focus areas and new learning content
Our main focus continues in:
- turbomachinery
- external aerodynamics
- biological flows

AI in CAE: we’re working on it
AI/ML is entering CAE. Not as a replacement for engineers, but as an extension of engineering capability.
TBASE (Physics AI)
Likely a quiet/silent release in 26.03, followed by a major release in 26.10.
TBRAIN (AI Agent for workflows)
Designed to automate and assist with project work. Planned for autumn’s 26.10.
Same philosophy as always: open-source technology accessible to everyone.

New tutorials, case studies, and videos
A few recent additions that are meant to be useful (and occasionally entertaining):
Cyclone separator – case study & tutorial
A classic industrial flow problem: swirling flow, separation efficiency, and pressure loss; with a practical CFD setup.

World Cup balls aerodynamics – CFD study & video
We compared the aerodynamics of Trionda 2026 and Al Rihla 2022 using CFD:
flow structures, drag, and the small details that matter.

Human upper airway – biomedical CFD tutorial
CFD beyond machines: airflow in human upper airways, including geometry preparation, boundary conditions,
and interpreting results in a biomedical context.

Pythagoras (Greedy) Cup – VOF CFD study & video
An ancient cup with a built-in lesson: overfill it and the siphon empties it.
No magic — just physics, and VOF.
