TCFD Wind Turbine Interface

Hello

we are very pleased to announce the new release of OpenFOAM for Windows. And also a new release of OpenFOAM in Box.

The new packages are fully independent on other system libraries and they are always natively compiled (No virtual machines). Here is the list of some 17.06 version features:

  • Core based on OpenFOAM-dev – native compilation, compatible with other .dll and .exe
  • Robust Installer – supporting all major Windows distributions: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7
  • ParaView 5.3 – the latest version of great CFD postprocessing tool
  • CFmesh – an open-source library for mesh generation implemented within the OpenFOAM® framework
  • swak4Foam – a library of function objects that allow doing many things that would otherwise require programming
  • Turbo Blade Post – free Windows version of special postprocessing tool for rotating machinery simulations
  • and many more adjustments to help OpenFOAM feeling at home in Windows

At CFDSUPPORT, we currently follow the latest Foundation OpenFOAM version. And on top of that, we committed ourselves to gather the best of what is available all across the OpenFOAM scene.

As you may have noticed, we release the new versions three times a year (February, June, and October). Please feel free to suggest new features which you would like to see in the next releases.

Recently we have released a set of YouTube videos on preprocessing for OpenFOAM in Salome, as a part of our OpenFOAM training.
If you like it, please subscribe to our YouTube channel not to miss any of the next videos to come.

We promise we will keep contributing as much as possible, to make OpenFOAM able to compete in the real engineering world. The new features, tutorials, and documentation are already on the way.

And remember, I am just one email away.

With best regards,

Lubos Pirkl
