For creating new mesh with snappyHexMesh it is recommended to create new OpenFOAM test case just with system and constant.

The input .STL files are located in constant/triSurface and can be directly viewed in paraview.

Six .STL files are presented, namely align-rot-guide.stl, blade-guide.stl, hub-guide.stl, inflow-inlet.stl, inflow-spiral.stl, inflow-guide.stl.

Interface between rotor and spiral part (align-rot-guide.stl) is the same as for rotor region (see Section , page ).

The initial idea is to create following mesh boundaries: inlet, spiral-walls, interface. Their number and names may change during the creation process.
