- stator is static part of the model, fluid is flowing over stator blade
- rotor is rotational part of the model, fluid is flowing over rotor blade
- solid is solid part of the model, rotor blade, no flow, only temperature equation is solved, can be switched off to run just fluid flow simulation with adiabatic walls
